away from the smoldering ruins of Jerusalem, forced to enter the lamenting path once more. As Jesus stumbles back along the road to Jerusalem, He who had learned the language of lament so well in the wilderness of His own life follows the path to Golgotha. There, He invites us to come out of the Egypt of our experience and worship Him in the wilderness. The path to God is through the wilderness. There, and only there, will we learn what God is truly worth. There we discover His provision: manna,
